WEBINAR: Creating Safer Spaces for Two-Spirit Métis People

Join us for this workshop reviewing: the difference between sexuality and gender; an overview of different gender identities; what practicing allyship looks like; and inclusive practices to help ensure Two-Spirit people are acknowledged and supported within Métis communities.
Benny Michaud (she/they/him) is a proud ayahwkew (two-spirit), eagle clan, Michif person originally from St. Boniface, Manitoba. Benny has worked throughout her career to support Indigenous youth in the mental health and education sectors. In her current role as Director of the Centre for Indigenous Initiatives at Carelton University, she works to ensure that Indigenous students have the academic, cultural and spiritual support necessary to maintain their health and wellbeing.
