Lynda Gerow –Waabshkii Miiagan
Lynda is a Carrier from the Wet’suwet’en Nation in Burns Lake, British Columbia. Her teachings are in Aanishinaabe and Mohawk. Waabshkii Miiagan is her spirit name meaning White Wolf. Lynda is currently working in the community to re-learn traditional languages and to educate our youth. She is the president of the Kingston Thunder Women, along with sitting on other Indigenous committees. Lynda is working collaboratively with Loving Spoonful's Community Kitchen Team as the Indigenous Coordinator for Cooking the Nest with Kingston Indigenous Language Nest as well as being Cultural Support for a Native Early Childhood Education program with Anishinaabek Educational Institution.Lynda is a mother to four grown children and a Kookom to three grandsons.
